THEME OF THE WEEK

Each week we have a different theme. We encourage the children to bring things from home related to the theme. E.g. books, pictures, models, etc. We discuss our theme daily during our morning ring.

All our themes have a slide show related to the theme that we run during the week. We expose the children to many things that they are not aware of.

Our activities are all related to the theme too. We cut, colour, paste, paint and construct everything according to the theme. By the end of the week the children are very familiar with the topic of discussion. We encourage you as parents to get involved and also talk to them about the theme. This works well as consolidation.


16 - 20 January MY BODY AND I

We learn that we are special, focusing on body parts. 
 


23 - 27  January My FAMILY

My family and the function of different members in it.
 


30 - 3  February MY HOUSE

 We look at the different room in our house and the different homes of animals.
 


6 - 10 SAFETY IN THE HOME

There are many things in the home that we need to be aware of and realize what is safe and dangerous.
 


13 - 17  February MY SENSES

 We have 5 senses and we learn what they are and when to use them.
